Cerberus is a mythical creature in Greek mythology. It is often depicted as a multi-headed dog guarding the gates of Hades. In some myths, Cancerbero has three heads, while in others it can have as many as nine heads. The word "cancerbero" is also used to refer to a vigilant and unyielding guardian.
